Come for this Introductory Autism Training to learn how to better support your loved ones and those in your care with Autism.  Your instructor, Dr. Katie Heath, will teach you the history of autism along with common characteristics of people with autism. You'll learn practical tools and resources to advocate for the needs of individuals with autism in your personal life and greater community.

Well-informed support for individuals with Autism can help us better understand the strengths and difficulties that exist for those in our care who may be autistic.

Associate Professor of Education; Director, Pathway to Teaching Program

Dr. Katie Heath

Dr. Katie Heath lives in the Rochester area. She taught at Hammondsport Central School for five years. Katie finished her dissertation at Syracuse University and her research focus was on iPads with students with low incidence disabilities. She has presented at national conferences on iPads and communication. Katie is the program director for the Pathway to Teaching program at Roberts Wesleyan University.
